The red of the sky represent the coming Beast and the purple, those having rule over it.
The tree having it's roots in the dark earth represents the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. They are black, because they are dead and will go into the abyss, the bottomless pit.
The black and white checker patterns on either side of the tree represent the knowledge of good and evil, by which the world is being destroyed and the Scull & Bones within them represent death, because they who live by it are already dead!
The circle in the center, represents The Tree of Life. It is green, because they who live by it are alive and forever shall be.
